The three strands of the pastoral calling: people, the Word and management. Four live modules and two e-learning modules of biblical study.
This course exists to train pastors and ministry leaders who are competent and ready to work with the three strands of the calling: people (relationships), the Word (preaching) and management (administration) in Christian churches.
It is therefore for all who aspire to fulfil their pastoral calling with excellence, leading churches and ministries and caring for lives with diligence and responsibility.
Among the subjects: pastoral practice, people management, leadership vision, strategic evangelism, challenges, offerings and conquests, along with foundations of politics and law.
Course objective
To give pastors the tools to care for lives, run the church and its ministries and minister the Word with discernment and authority.
Who this course is for
- Elders already serving in ministry in Christian churches
- Anyone with a pastoral calling
Prerequisites
- Be 18 or older
- Be converted and baptised
- Have completed the Structural Bible School, Aspirant Training, Deacon Training and Elder Training, or equivalent courses
Then I will give you shepherds after my own heart, who will lead you with knowledge and understanding.
Syllabus
- Module 1 — Apostolic Vision and foundations of politics and law
- Module 2 — Management strategy and practice, and the Renascer Vision
- Module 3 — Apostolic administration and pastoral practice
- Module 4 — Communication and people management
- Module 5 (e-learning) — Pentateuch, historical books and Revelation
- Module 6 (e-learning) — Acts of the Apostles and the epistles
How classes work
Live classes once a week, two hours each, over Zoom. Each module has nine lessons and an assessment. Modules may be taken in any order as long as all content is completed.
